Adrián López Velarde and Marte Cázarez, wanted an alternative for animal leather. They developed a vegan alternative made with nopal (a cactus). 

Their brand is Desserto®, and it has similar features compared to animals or synthetic leather, like sustainability, performance, and aesthetics. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is made without the need for chemicals, phthalates, and PVC in the production process. Cactus leather is partially biodegradable. The back consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton and has the color white. The green material has a lovely matt finish and feels nice and smooth.
